Gideon's 300 Rout the Midianite Army
God whittles Gideon's army from 32,000 down to 300 men. At midnight, the tiny force surrounds the vast Midianite camp with only torches and empty jars. They smash the jars, shout, and raise their torches — throwing the enemy into mass panic. The Midianites slaughter one another in the confusion.

Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people who were with him, rose up early, and encamped beside the spring of Harod. Midian’s camp was on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
