Delilah's Betrayal

Philistine rulers pay Delilah 1,100 shekels of silver each to discover the secret of Samson's strength. Night after night she asks, night after night he lies. On her fourth attempt she accuses him: "How can you say 'I love you' when you won't confide in me?" She nags him until he tells her about his uncut hair. She calls for a man to shave his head while he sleeps on her lap. His strength gone, his eyes gouged out, Samson grinds grain in prison.
