The Nephilim and the Total Corruption of Humanity

The sons of God take human wives and father the Nephilim — giants, the heroes of old. Then God looks down and sees that "every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time." He regrets making humanity. "I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created." He is, the text says, grieved to his heart.
