Deuteronomy 22:13–29

Laws on Rape and Proof of Virginity

If a husband claims his new wife was not a virgin, her parents must produce the bloodied wedding-night cloth before the elders; if they cannot, she is stoned at her father's door. A rapist who attacks a betrothed woman in the city is stoned — because she did not cry out. A rapist who attacks an unbetrothed woman must pay her father fifty shekels and marry her: he may never divorce her.
