Moses Defeats King Sihon of Heshbon

Moses sent messengers to King Sihon of Heshbon, requesting passage through his land, but Sihon refused and gathered his people for battle. In a fierce confrontation, the Israelites struck down Sihon and his army, leaving none alive, and took possession of his land.
