God Causes Three Enemy Armies to Slaughter Each Other Before Judah Arrives

A vast coalition of Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites marches against Jehoshaphat. The king proclaims a fast throughout Judah. A Levite prophet delivers the word of the Lord: 'Do not be afraid. The battle is not yours but God's. Take up your positions and stand still.' Jehoshaphat puts singers at the front of the army to lead them out praising God. As soon as they begin to sing, the Lord sets ambushes against the invaders. The Ammonites and Moabites attack the army from Seir until they have destroyed it — then turn on each other. By the time Judah reaches the lookout point, every one of their enemies lies dead on the ground.
