Samuel Hacks Agag to Pieces
God commands Saul to utterly destroy the Amalekites — every man, woman, child, and animal. Saul spares King Agag and the best livestock. Samuel arrives furious. He tells Saul the kingdom is torn from him, then calls for Agag. As Agag approaches confidently, Samuel announces: 'As your sword has made women childless, so your mother shall be childless among women.' And Samuel hacks Agag to pieces before the Lord at Gilgal.
