1 Samuel 17:49–51
David Kills Goliath with a Stone
The Philistine champion Goliath stands over nine feet tall, armored in bronze, with a spear like a weaver's beam. For forty days he taunts Israel's army. A young shepherd boy named David steps forward with five smooth stones and a sling. The stone sinks into Goliath's forehead and he falls face-first. David cuts off his head with Goliath's own sword.
